Tex Parte Blog – Two University of Texas School of Law graduates win Equal Justice Works fellowships

Thanks to fellowships from Equal Justice Works (EJW) in Washington, D.C., two University of Texas School of Law graduates get to spend the first two years of their careers working on public service projects each designed. Adriana Rodriguez (pictured, left) and Michelle Smith (pictured, right) graduate May 21, plan to sit for the July Texas bar exam and begin their fellowships in the fall. The two Texas-based fellowship recipients are among 44 fellowships EJW awarded nationwide for social justice projects, Becky Brand, communications specialist for EJW, writes in an e-mail. Rodriguez will be working in Laredo with Texas RioGrande Legal Aid (TRLA).
