Fernando Jimenez once had a good-paying job, a care-free lifestyle and a family that loved him.

But in 2002, his parents and brother died. Addicted to cocaine, Jimenez became estranged from the rest of his family.

Jimenez sank into a deep depression that led to further alcohol and drug abuse, and before he knew it, he had five drunken-driving arrests and a conviction for cocaine possession in 2004.
