Brownsville Herald – FEMA staff helps Valley; residents can register damage claims

The Texas Division of Emergency Management and the Federal Emergency Management Agency will be staffing disaster recovery centers throughout the Rio Grande Valley to provide assistance to residents whose properties were damaged in June by Hurricane Alex.
One location was set up Friday in Brownsville at Park Centro Cultural Center, 2100 Gregory Ave., and will remain open through Monday. Another center will operate at Port Isabel this coming Tuesday through Friday, and one will also operate in Harlingen next week.
