A man recruited in Brownsville to help clean up Galveston after Hurricane Ike filed a lawsuit on Monday alleging that a Houston company didn’t pay him all of his wages.
People working on behalf of USA Environment, a waste and cleanup company, recruited Jose Lucio, 50, of Brownsville, from a site where day laborers congregated near the Gateway International Bridge in October, said his lawyer, Sarah Donaldson.
Bret Pardue, USA Environment’s chief executive, disputed that the company didn’t pay Lucio for the hours he worked.
